The Druk Journal contributes to Bhutan’s growth as a democracy and as a modern nation. It is a vibrant public space in which we encourage our contributors to expand our national discourse by introducing new ideas and concepts into the Bhutanese conversation.
On the eve of the fourth general elections, The Druk Journal will take an objective and analytical look at electoral trends in Bhutan, both national and local. The Journal’s Conversation on “Local Government” is being moderated by the Journal Editor, Dasho Kinley Dorji.

BCMD and The Druk Journal aims to make this ongoing Conversation relevant by inviting politicians, bureaucrats, policy and rule makers, and voters to exchange frank views and experiences in an informal and open environment.
